Travel deserves an editor. Fewer, better options chosen by a career tastemaker — the same instinct that ran a magazine, now shaping your vacation.

Edited, Not Endless

Concise proposals with the options that made the cut, and why — so you can decide quickly and get on with the good stuff.

Personally Vetted

Every hotel and restaurant has been intensely researched, fact-checked, and often visited, before it makes the cut.

Paced, Not Packed

Itineraries with room to explore and every detail handled before you land — so the only thing left to do is show up.

“If we wouldn’t go, we won’t send you.”

Schuyler Bailey, founder of The Masthead

Before founding this collective, I cut my teeth as an editor at DailyCandy and went on to become a food editor at a lifestyle magazine in San Francisco, then worked my way up to Editor-in-Chief. I decided what was worth readers’ attention, what wasn’t, and why it mattered.

I bring that same exacting eye to every trip we plan — fewer options, chosen with intention, so you’re never left sorting through the noise yourself. The end-all criteria: if we wouldn’t go, we won’t send you.

The Masthead is growing into a full editorial collective — a small roster of specialist editors, each with their own vertical, working alongside me to keep every recommendation sharp and every detail dialed.

01

Family Travel

Multi-gen itineraries that balance luxe with livable — built by a mom of three who plans for real days, not just highlight reels.

02

Food & Wine

Reservations booked before flights. A former food editor’s eye for the tables and cellars worth the trip.

03

Wellness Getaways

Nordic sauna rituals, Blue Zone longevity, Southeast Asia’s healing traditions — itineraries built around the practice, not just the property.

04

New & Next

Panama, Virgin Gorda, Sumba — we focus on the undiscovered, not the trendy, and get you there before everyone else does.

Have a trip in mind? Let’s go.
